Initial Consulation
I offer the chance for us to meet for 30 minutes for an initial consultation. We will have the opportunity to discuss the reasons behind you exploring starting therapy, how you are feeling at the moment and what you wish was different in your life. I will ask you questions about how long you have felt this way and we may want to explore how you feel this affects your day to day life.
For example you may be wanting to work on something which has happened in your past that you feel is affecting your relationships in the here and now. I will ask you, if you can, to describe in 3 words how you feel right now. This can be a good place for us to start from and often where I will bring clients back to so we can see how you feel over time.
The rest of our time is for any questions you may have to help for you to know if now is the right time for counselling in your and whether you feel I am the right counsellor for you.
I like to offer everyone a day to think about this and then let me know if you would like to start working together. I offer this time together for free and there is of course no obligation to start sessions after our consultation.
